We haven't updated in a year, whoa~ But that's a good thing no? Just means everyone has been busy making new things Tasayu with the live action and motion graphic promos, and Euralis with her animation! We just updated A!PoN and DoSanKo Gaijin DaBeSa sites as well as the feeds in iTunes. To visit the iTunes links click A!PoN iTunes or Dosanko iTunes. We're also going to be relaunching ChaoticUnicorn.com real soon so stay tuned more fun coming real soon!

Dookie-Poo in 8 Bit Glory!

Creator Manny Galan just finished this awesome music video.
Check it out!

Follow DOOKIE-POO on a classic 8-bit adventure through some of the greatest arcade games of all time as he tries valiantly to rescue his best friend, CHOROCCO TOFU from the malicious GRUMPLE!
Can you name all the arcade classics DOOKIE-POO happens to stumble across? The music is by the up and coming MONTAUK PROJECT.

We asked Manny about his inspiration for this short. Here's what he had to say:
The genesis for this video came from trying to recapture the powerful imagination of youth. An imagination so strong that it could turn the simplest of shapes into a tree, a space ship or even a gang of colorful ghosts. The technological limitations of the time actually provided us with a chance to use our creative resources to flesh out these simplistic, but charming worlds, as they boiled down complicated scenarios like alien invasions, gorilla abductions or even a frog trying to cross the street, into the simplest form possible. The goal was to try and recapture the innocence and nostalgia of the medium and present the simplest morality tale of "GOOD GUY SAVES THE GIRL" in 4 minutes.

The spot was done in Adobe Illustrator and Flash.

Earlier this year the CU team and Manny Galan attended New York Comic-con. We sold copies of our book Combination Platter along with an early version of the Dookie-Poo plushie.
Dookie-Poo caught the eye of the folks over at The Funimation Channel and here's what we had to say!

So there you have it, a bit of a teaser of what's to come.
The Dookie-Poo Plush is almost ready to invade the masses.

Animator, designer, and day-to-day pencil pusher for CU. I mostly like to work behind the scenes. I enjoy drawing and creating all the fun stuff we do here. I'm pretty camera shy most of the time, and I don't trek in front of the camera much. Though I did do a bit part in my friend and colleague Josh Meyers' short "Yookooza" Which also stars co-founder Taz...
